Week-end in Barcelona

In October 2022, I went to Spain and more precisely to Barcelona for a short 2-day weekend.

During our weekend, we stayed at the "Hostal Live Barcelona" hotel, not far from the city center and the Gothic quarter of Barcelona.

Things to see/do in Barcelona
La Casa Batlló

By going to Casa Batlló, you can admire a facade with rather atypical architecture. Indeed, it is covered with kaleidoscopic mosaics making it one of the most emblematic sites of the city. This facade would represent the reflection of a calm sea.

It is possible to visit it to discover the former residence of the Batlló family, the attic, the terrace as well as the mythical fireplaces and magnificent interior courtyard. On your way there, keep your eyes open to admire the beauty of certain buildings and monuments on your way.

La Sagrada Família

The Sagrada Família is a basilica in Barcelona whose construction began in 1882.

The Sagrada Família is known as one of the greatest monuments of Catalan modernism and an emblematic monument of the city of Barcelona. This basilica (unfinished) was built by the architect Antoni Gaudí, and is located in the district of the same name. The part of the monument made during the lifetime of Antoni Gaudí is: the crypt and the facade of the Nativity. These parts were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.

The Sagrada Família is an emblematic place to see and visit if you wish in Spain.

Don't make the same mistake as me, and book absolutely before! Unfortunately, I couldn't get there as it was full (in October though...).So first step, get your tickets in advance!

Parc Güell is one of Gaudí's greatest successes and a must-see in the Catalan capital. In this park you can find the magnificent hills of Collserola in the background, designed by Gaudí.

Balade au bord de mer

A brunch not to be missed!
EatMyTrip brunch

For brunch lovers, you can't come to Barcelona without stopping at EatMyTrip!

This brunch is excellent in a very warm and pleasant setting. It's not very big and reservations are not possible, so I advise you not to go there too late. Don't be scared by the queue at the entrance, it goes quite quickly and you won't regret the 15/30min wait!
